Heavy-Duty Guide

The Best Pallet Strapping Machine for Heavy & Industrial Loads

Heavy metal castings, engine blocks and dense export crates are non-compressible: if a strap is even slightly loose, the load slides on the pallet and the shipment is rejected. Securing them needs high, repeatable tension and a joint that does not snap under shock.

For heavy industrial freight, "load security" is a tension problem. Dense parts do not compress, so the strap must lock them to the pallet base as a single rigid unit. Two failures dominate: tension that is too low or varies pallet-to-pallet (the load shifts), and a joint that bursts under sudden shock (the strap fails at the seal). The right heavy-duty machine fixes both.

  • High, repeatable tension: heavy loads need consistent force locked in by a machine, not a human arm. The 726X holds the set tension on strap #1 and strap #1,000.
  • A joint that survives shock: friction welding fuses the strap to itself (up to 90% of break strength); crimped metal clips top out near 60% and burst under maritime or road shock.
  • The right material: PET absorbs impact and resists rust — the correct choice for sea freight, where steel snaps and corrodes.
  • Reach over big loads: the Triplex-Tool-Lift lets the operator seal the side and top of awkward, oversized castings without removing the sealing head.

Recommended setup for heavy and export freight

For heavy parts and international sea freight the ErgoPack 726X is the right tool: digitally controlled tension to 2500N, sealless friction welding, and PET strap compatibility for rust-free, shock-absorbing security. Where the facility already owns heavy-duty sealing tools, the GO or 700 can automate the strap routing while you keep your tools — but for guaranteed, repeatable tension the integrated 726X head is the heavy-duty standard in the ErgoPack India range.

Honest note on tension

Some imported machines advertise 4000–4500N. The ErgoPack India range tops out at the 726X’s 2500N, which secures the vast majority of palletised industrial and export loads. We will tell you if your specific load genuinely needs more than 2500N rather than oversell.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best pallet strapping machine for heavy loads in India?
For heavy, non-compressible loads the ErgoPack 726X is the right choice: it applies digitally controlled, repeatable tension from 400N up to 2500N and seals with a sealless friction weld (up to 90% joint efficiency), securing engine blocks, castings and export crates without load shift.
How much tension do heavy industrial pallets need?
Most heavy palletised industrial and export loads are secured well within the ErgoPack 726X’s 400–2500N range. The critical factor is that the tension is consistent and the joint does not burst under shock — which friction welding ensures.
Is PET strapping strong enough to replace steel for heavy loads?
For transit, yes. PET elongates to absorb the impacts that snap rigid steel, recovers its tension as loads settle, and does not rust on sea freight. Applied at the 726X’s calibrated tension with a friction-weld joint, PET outperforms steel-and-clips for dynamic heavy freight.
